Meet the Intern: Nick J.
Summer time is here, and that means it’s time for us to welcome our interns!
Introducing our Audio Department intern, Nick Jackson. Nick is going to finishing up this December at UGA with a degree in Music.
We sat down with Nick to get to know a little bit more about him.
Music Matters: Where did you grow up?
Nick J: Macon, GA born and raised. #478!
MMP: What brought you to Music Matters?
NJ: I’m a participant of the Well Dunn program, which matched me with Music Matters based on my career interests in music and audio engineering. The welcoming and friendly environment at Music Matters sealed the deal for me, and since I’m on the audio team, this is literally my dream internship!
MMP: What’s a fun fact about you?
NJ: I was born on Christmas Day (Saint Nick) and I’m TikTok famous for my “sing-whistling”!
MMP: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
NJ: I enjoy watching celebrity musician interviews, writing new songs, learning about anything and everything, and window shopping in designer stores.
MMP: Favorite Bands / Musicians?
NJ: I’m a huge fan (almost stan) of Sam Smith, Lizzo, Allen Stone, Adele, and Beyonce.
MMP: What are you most excited about for your internship?
NJ: I’m looking forward to possibly networking with musicians and artists at shows, but I also can’t wait to watch an artist that I admire perform a show while I do my part to help them along the way. It’s a win-win for all of us!
We’re so excited to have Nick with us this summer and can’t wait to see what he learns from the team.
