Music Matters Productions (MMP), a leading event production company based in Atlanta, is searching for a detail-obsessed, motivated Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position where you’ll play an essential role in keeping our operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
As an Accounting Specialist at MMP, you’ll be hands-on with the systems and processes that keep our business moving forward. Responsibilities include:
- Managing all daily invoicing, from accounts payable and receivable to coordinating payment schedules for clients post-event.
- Communicating with contractors and vendors about payments.
- Tracking, coding, and reconciling credit card and bank charges on a weekly basis.
- Updating and monitoring the AR aging list.
- Keeping sales goals sheets current and accurate.
- Partnering with the sales team to track client invoices and show details.
- Working directly with the Owner and General Manager to keep financial operations aligned with company goals.
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate for this position will bring proven accounting experience, sharp organizational skills, and a passion for detail. We want to meet you if you:
- Have 2–4 years of AP/AR or accounting experience.
- Know your way around Excel and Word spreadsheets and reports.
- Understand accounting and bookkeeping processes at a practical level.
- Can balance organizational skills with problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Deliver excellent communication and customer service with speed and empathy.
- Show up on time, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points if:
- You have experience in the production or live event industry.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
