In the Round was the brainchild of Levittron Concepts and the Music Matter Productions team. The big challenge: How could we create something different that would make a more engaging livestream experience. How could we keep an audience’s attention for the entire stream?

Birthed out of curiosity and ingenuity, the team worked hard for weeks concepting, rendering, constructing, all the way through to the first use of the space and first live concert with fans.  In the Round was built to create a unique experience for fans and artists alike. With ultra-lean staffing, there were long days and many unknowns, but the team persisted and pushed forward and was excited to host the first show with fans involved. 

We hosted Perpetual Groove and their incredible fans on Friday, September 25, 2020. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. It was great to feel like we accomplished that could potentially be a differentiator for the industry. 

PGroove keyboardist Matthew McDonald had the following to say about the experience: 

‘When we began the discussion of doing a live stream, we knew that we wanted it to be special. It needed to be something that hadn’t been done in this new era of streaming concerts we find ourselves in. Most of all, we knew that the audience, the most important part of playing live, had to be there with us. Music Matters & Levittron Concepts worked extremely hard to create the perfect space to accomplish this. We can’t emphasize enough how impressive this creation is. The feeling inside “the halo” as it came to be known is, quite simply, incredible. It’s an inspiring place for creativity and the feeling of being surrounded by all of you was the closest we’ve felt to playing a live show in months. Painted on the walls of the Music Matters warehouse it says “Good Vibes, Good People, Good Work” – it couldn’t be more fitting or sum up all you need to know about their team of professionals. ‘

The future for this space is really exciting. The team continues to work on improving processes and making the experience unlike anything else available.  We will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, in the hopes that we can continue innovating and meeting the changing needs of promoters and performers.
